After an extended hiatus, during which I’ve been quite busy doing all kinds of other things, AF&O is back. To those who have written with good wishes and such, thanks for your support. I hope you’ll join in the fun. The About page (see the sidebar) has more info about this particular blog and its past, so check that out. I am in the process of having the AF&O archive, which goes back to 2003, I think, transferred here from its current residence on the Grateful Dread Public Radio site. In the meantime, I would rather look forward… there’s a historic US presidential race under way, the Republicans appear to want to do what they did to Iraq to Iran, the economy is trash (thanks Dubya), the criminals are still ruling things, the Gulf Coast dodged a bullet (so far), celebs are still too much the focus in a TMZ kinda world, and America still needs saving. Seems to me there is lots to discuss.
I can’t promise daily posting. What with overseeing GDM, the radio station, Baltimore Activists Coalition, The Armchair Activist, I’m doing a lot of writing (and I’m also raising an adolescent – egads), but this will be a frequently active endeavor. Seriously, I really missed AF&O, which allows me to be more subjective, mischievous, and, well… me. So it seemed time to bring my baby back. And wowsers, it feels good.
Please bear with me as I configure this thing. Not sure how I want this puppy to look yet, but as always, it’s been more about the words than anything else, hasn’t it? In a bit, I’ll bring back the infamous Reindeer Game, and there will be lots to see via the (soon-to-be) linked sites involving my other projects.
So please stay tuned and tell your friends. My goal here is to inform, enrage, inspire, and entertain in the hope of repairing a broken world. I’d also like to learn new things and hear other points of view too, so please feel free to share your views on any and everything, because here, we present all facts and opinions — so hearing yours is important.
